In 1984 Phil Carter purchased ‘The Ski Store” a family-owned business located in Costa Mesa, California from the Dase family. His immediate focus was on becoming the highest customer service focused ski company in Orange County. At the time there were several large big box stores that also carried ski & snowboard equipment but lacked in the customer service. Phil soon earned a reputation for his knowledge and customer care. Once the service was in place he focused on providing the highest quality ski and snowboard equipment. He began only carrying the best brand names available which are still his trademark today. He works closely with the reps for K2, Rossignol, Armada, Salomon, and many others, keeping Phil’s the leader in knowledge and expertise when it comes to all things ski and snowboard in SoCal.
